Our libraries are a valuable source of knowledge in our City and a wealth of information. They're one of our most popular and often used facilities. Our libraries have more than 40,000 members and more than 2,700 visitors per day.

There’s always so much to see and do at our libraries, they’ve become part of the daily life of thousands of local residents.

With a wide range of FREE items for loan, including books, magazines, DVDs and CDs, plus exciting programs such as author talks, book groups, cultural events and activities for children and teenagers, there really is something for everyone.

Our extensive Community Language Collections include more than 28,000 items in Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, Greek, Korean and Vietnamese and our storytimes in various community languages are very popular.

Our libraries even extend into resident’s homes – our Home Library Service, delivers all types of library resources, including large print books and audio books direct to people’s doors who are housebound.
